Frequently asked questions

Does monthly time rollover?

No. We will provide the allotted time each month of support which is totally optional for you to make use of. Included in the allotted time are support calls, content changes, and feature development requests. Additional support is available at our hourly rate.

What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, breaks, etc?

We cannot promise your website will not be hacked but can promise we will do everything in our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.

What tasks are included in the dedicated support time?

Content update requests and small improvements are the most common requests, however, anything that can fit into your monthly support time is welcome. We ask you to be aware that requests for new features to your website involving installing a new plugin or a new feature request will likely result in a formal quote as those usually go over the monthly dedicated time.

What if I need more hours?

If you have a task that requires more than your dedicated monthly time, we will submit a quote for you to approve separately from your plan. However, many times we will evaluate requests that exceed your time on a case by case basis, and with approval, work past the time and bill for the time exceeded at our current hourly rate. If you think you will regularly need more support time, we’ll happily review your support plan and customise it to your needs.

How does billing work?

Billing is handled on a monthly (or yearly) basis by our subscription tool.

My website was not built by Dunktree, can I still be on a client plan?

Absolutely! We only work with clients who are on a support plan, as this enables us to provide dedicated support and prioritise your site.
Contact us and we’ll get you set up with an initial fixed-fee discovery session to become familiar with the website, how it was built and any potential issues that can arise, as well as if we will be a good fit for each other.

How will support and communication work?

At Dunktree we have a fairly strict communication policy that ensures we can provide the best support to you when you need it.
When you start working with us, we’ll provide you with a copy of our communication policy, but to give you a brief overview, we handle support via an email support desk and do not provide phone support except in emergencies.
